Milestone photoshoot in Texas wildflowers.

There is nothing I love more than a beautiful milestone photoshoot in natural Texas wildflowers! Miss Brooklyn was so sweet to go romping with me through the crazy over grown wildflowers for her one year old milestone shoot. With the help of her mommy (and jellybeans), we got some gems to treasure forever! What I love most about milestone photography shoots (especially with babies and children), is the opportunity to capture pure perfection without having to do a ton of posing. My ideal shoot is simply following the child (or baby) through a dreamy afternoon field backlit by the setting Texas sun.
This year we've been especially lucky to have an extended wild flower season. Filled with more than just bluebonnets, which I equally love, but grateful for the variety! With all this rain some beautiful wild fields, filled with natural color, has been the back drop of every shoot I've had the opportunity to photograph.

I will always be amazed by the changing 'face' of the Texas countryside. One part of the year we have traditional dry grassy fields as far as the eye can see. The next season brings natural browns and a peaceful hibernating look, then we get surprised with lush green, flower filled fields, and grassy expanses that just make you wanna have a new born puppy. Whatever season we're in, the natural 'look' always blows me away, and continually makes me grateful to live in such a beautiful place.

Enjoy this 'before and after' of my favorite image of Miss Brooklyn!

Thank you Megan and Andrew for allowing me to be part of your sweet babies first year. I hope these milestone portraits bring you fond memories for the rest of your lives.

All the best,
